Interiors Online (as the name would suggest) is a purely online interiors retailer. Australian owned by South Australian couple David and Lisa Paley, Interiors Online hosts curated collections of inspirational "on trend" indoor and outdoor furniture and decor.
With a huge inventory and a range of styles, Interiors Online features thousands of hand selected items representing the best of Australian and international design.
As a purely online retailer, SEO Is a huge priority for Interior’s Online.
Improving SEO is a long term, ongoing project. The SEO improvements for Interiors Online started in March 2017 which grew their visibility exponentially (especially March - August 2018) until October 2018 - when Google updated their algorithm. There was a sudden drop in visibility due to this.
Our new SEO goal was to stabilise Interiors Online’s visibility from the sudden change, to avoid it dropping further.
how we helped
We focused our strategy on improving the website EAT (Expertise, Authoritativeness and Trustworthiness) through website on page elements, and also by using décor industry collaborators to add authority to our content.
We updated the blog post format to make it more accessible to our audience and easier to read. The content created on the blog section was based on audience interest topics & search demand and was amplified via paid social.
We also ran a UX audit and a customer qualitative research and adopted the insights through website improvements to improve the UX and conversions.
After the initial drop in results, the new SEO plan managed to stabilise the client’s visibility. Since June 2019, Interiors Online has been getting their best Google visibility results since we first saw the drop in October 2018. As of February 2020, we are have caught up and transcended the previous results from August 2019 (which was the best ever recorded SEO results to date at the time).
