Founded in 2013 by Pip Vassett, IN BED is driven by the creative space; the type of home or studio that is filled with character and depth. They have a retail space in Paddington, Sydney as well as an online store.


IN BED’s products are home focussed,  textured and high quality - ranging from bed linens and sleepwear to kitchen and bathroom textiles. Their style is minimal, timeless and utilitarian.


the brief

IN BED was looking to migrate over from WooCommerce to Shopify Plus, as the previous WooCommerce site was suffering from performance-related issues, particularly around sale events. 


IN BED required a sale-proof site, geared for global expansion. It needed to retain the important design and on-brand elements that the client had built up over the years - but optimised in a way that highlighted their unique inspirational lifestyle content and luxury products.

how we helped

The migration process followed our omnichannel approach with both development functionality and marketing requirements taken into account. The platform transition was a smooth experience with zero downtime, and all the subsequent apps and integrations were also switched over before the new site was launched.


Paid media, email marketing, site’s SEO health and data tracking all were prepared in collaboration with the development process. This way, IN BED was primed to launch the new site with all their new integrated marketing tools - to seamlessly continue their online marketing and customer communication.

Only a month after migrating the store, IN BED were able to fully test the new Shopify Plus store with a major sale event. The sale was a huge success, with no downtime or checkout issues and a 116% revenue increase compared to their previously run 5-day sale earlier that year.


More importantly, in the quarter after launch (which was between December 2019 and February 2020) the conversion rate and revenue went up by 13% and 17% compared to the year prior, thanks to the combined efforts of the new platform, the site’s optimisation and the digital marketing strategy.
